Retire to the Great Smoky Mountains

Golf

Boating

Outdoors- Hunting and Fishing

Outdoor activities are abundant. This region has all types of waters- lake, mountain streams, rivers for fishing year-round. Hunting is available on private lands and the expansive public lands managed by the Tennessee Wildlife Agency. See their site for fishing and hunting opportunities.

Entertainment

The region has a great diversity of entertainment and cultural venues and opportunities.  Every type of music from Blue Grass (we think it was at least partially invented here) to Classical is available.  The region abounds with amusements, including art and science museums, a theme park, a highly acclaimed zoo.  There are close to 1000 restaurants in the region, over 60 movie theatres, and numerous venues for music, plays, and other entertainment.  Great venues for shows and fun are available throughout the region, most most especially in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Knoxville. Shopping

Every community has excellent facilities for shopping- Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg are East Coast attractions for shopping. A number of shopping malls are scattered throughout the region.
